PRIVACY POLICY

Your privacy.
Our priority.

KEYSTORM is a browser game. This page explains exactly what it stores and sends.

01

WHAT IS STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

The game keeps a few values in your browser's local storage. These never leave your device, are not sent anywhere, and are not an identifier. Clearing your browser data removes them permanently.

  • Best score and furthest wave, per difficulty
  • Your per-key accuracy and speed history, used for the key report and drills
  • Daily challenge results for the current day
  • Achievements earned
  • Chosen colour theme, sound and announcer settings, and your last callsign
02

MULTIPLAYER

Single-player needs no connection at all. If you enter the multiplayer lobby, the game opens a connection to the game server and sends only what a match requires: the callsign you typed, the room code, and your keystrokes as letters.

Rooms live in memory for the length of a session and are discarded when everyone leaves. No match history, callsigns or scores are written to any database. There are no accounts.

03

ADVERTISING

Advertising on this site is served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, and in some regions to personalise them based on your previous visits to this and other sites.

Google's use of advertising cookies is described in its advertising policy, and the full list of companies that may be involved is published as Google's ad technology providers.

You can turn off personalised advertising for your Google account at My Ad Center, and opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Blocking cookies in your browser works too; the game itself does not need them.

In the EU, UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before personalised advertising runs. That prompt is Google's own certified consent message, served by the AdSense tag, and your answer is recorded by Google rather than by this site.

04

ANALYTICS

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people arrive on. It records the page you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you used, and it sets a cookie so a second visit is not counted as a new person.

Alongside that it records a few things about play itself: that a run was started, and the difficulty, wave, score and typing speed it ended on. These are counts, not a profile. None of it is tied to a name, an account or an email, because the game has none of those to tie it to.

In the EU, UK and Switzerland nothing is recorded until you agree, through the same consent prompt described above. Anywhere else you can opt out with Google's browser add-on, or by blocking the script. The game plays the same either way.

05

CHILDREN

The game collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Nothing on this site asks for a name, an email address, or an age.

06

YOUR CONTROL

Everything the game remembers can be erased by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings. There is nothing held server-side to request or delete.

07

CREDITS

Every shape in the game is drawn in code and every menu sound is synthesised. Apart from Google's advertising tag, the music is the only thing here that came from somewhere else.

Outer Space Loop by wipics, from OpenGameArt.org, released under CC0. Attribution is not required; it is here because knowing where a thing came from is worth more than the licence demands.
