HOW IT WORKS
Three things to know
before your first wave.
You can start straight away. Each wave is faster than the one before, and that is where the difficulty comes from.
Words fall
Each enemy ship carries a word and drops toward the line at the bottom of the screen. If one reaches it, you lose a life.
Type to shoot
Pressing a word's first letter locks onto that ship, and every key you get right after that fires a shot. Complete the word to bring the ship down. No two ships on screen share a first letter, so the lock never lands on the wrong one.
Don't miss
A wrong key resets your combo, and the combo sets your score multiplier, so a single typo loses the multiplier you had built up.
It watches every key separately
Every keystroke gets recorded against the key that produced it. Hits, misses, and how long you took to find it.
Keys warm up as you use them, and the ones you keep missing turn red.

QUESTIONS
Common questions
- Is it free? Yes, entirely. No account, no sign-up, no email, no download and no paid tier. The game is funded by advertising on the page.
- Do I need to install anything? No. It runs in the browser tab. The game code is about 200KB, and the music and sound effects load after your first key press.
- Does it work on a phone? Yes. The board turns portrait and an on-screen keyboard appears, so no physical keyboard is needed. Co-op and versus are desktop only.
- Where are my scores kept? In your own browser's storage, never on a server. Clearing your browser data deletes them, and they do not follow you to another device.
- What is the daily challenge? One run seeded from the date, so everyone playing on the same day gets the identical sequence of words at identical speeds. Playing on consecutive days builds a streak.
- Can I play with friends? Three players can share one battlefield in co-op, or take separate fields in versus where your kills send extra enemies at everyone else.
